Abstract
Open Access"Reduction en masse" is a rare condition in which a hernia can be reduced to the abdomen, but the bowel remains trapped in the hernia sac. Although this is a rare condition, a delayed diagnosis can lead to serious and life-threatening consequences. In this case report, a 60-year-old woman presented with clinical symptoms of small bowel obstruction at the emergency department, who later developed recurrent symptoms of small bowel obstruction after seemingly successful reduction of a right-sided inguinal hernia. This led to diagnostic laparoscopy, where a small bowel segment trapped in a hernia sac was found.
