Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SciRadar ("we", "us"), an independent research-search project, handles information when you use this website. If you have any questions, contact us at sciradar.contact@gmail.com.
Information we process
- Search queries — the text you type is sent to our server only to return results. We do not require an account and do not tie queries to your identity.
- IP address — processed to apply rate limits, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.
- Standard server logs — such as request time, browser type, and pages requested, kept briefly for security and diagnostics.
We do not ask for your name, email, or other personal details unless you choose to contact us directly.
Cookies & analytics
SciRadar uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (such as which searches and pages are popular). Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address and usage data; see Google's Privacy Policy for details. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
To operate and secure the service, return relevant results, prevent abuse, and improve search quality and usability based on aggregate analytics.
Third parties
Bibliographic data is sourced from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed/MEDLINE). We use Google Analytics for usage statistics. We do not sell your personal data. Links to publishers, DOI resolvers, and PubMed Central lead to third-party sites governed by their own privacy policies.
Data retention
Server logs are retained only for a short period for security and operational purposes, then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR in the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at sciradar.contact@gmail.com.
Children
SciRadar is intended for researchers and the general public; it is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
