Abstract
Open AccessIn this update, we examine the growing potential of synthetic data in addressing data access challenges for health technology assessment. We explore studies evaluating synthetic data as external control arms in clinical trials and the application of synthetic data in health economic evaluation. Additionally, we review real-world evidence on the clinical impact of formulary restrictions in the US.
