Abstract
Open AccessObjective: To assess the accuracy of tooth movements with aligners produced in the office. Materials and Methods: Seventeen patients (8 males, 9 females) were treated orthodontically with aligners produced using a Phrozen Sonic XL 4K 2022 3D printer and Tera Harz TC-85DAC resin. Tooth movements were planned on OnyxCeph® software, and accuracy was checked by digital scanning and 3D analysis. Results: The maximum mean accuracy rate was for the transverse dimension (98.5%). There were no significant differences between planned and actual movements (P > 0.05). Most discrepancies were for mandibular canines (1.70°), while the minimum for maxillary canines was (0.80°). Conclusion: In-office aligners exhibit high accuracy, especially in transverse dimensions, with successful execution of planned movements.
