Abstract
Open AccessBackground: Fractured endodontic instruments can obstruct canal disinfection, affecting treatment outcomes, with retrieval success dependent on various factors. Aim: This study aims to evaluate the success rates of different retrieval techniques for fractured instruments and the impact of anatomical, clinical, and procedural factors. Materials and Methods: An in vitro study using extracted human teeth assessed retrieval success based on various factors and compared the effectiveness of different retrieval techniques. Results: Root curvature, fragment location, and instrument type significantly influenced retrieval success, with magnification improving outcomes. Conclusion: Anatomical, clinical, and procedural factors should guide retrieval technique selection, with magnification and controlled methods improving success rates.
