Knowledge, Perceived Needs for Lab Training and Clinical Experience Regarding Onlay/Partial Crown versus Full Crown among Dental Students and Interns in Saudi Arabia: A Cross Sectional Study.

Open AccessIntroduction: There are many treatment planning options to restore the natural tooth appearance by restoring massive tooth decay and cracks. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the Knowledge, perceived need for lab training and clinical experience regarding Onlay/Partial Crown versus Full Crown among dental students and interns. Methods: A Cross-sectional study was prepared; the participants were divided into three groups according to the educational level. A questionnaire sent by email to the all-participants groups to collect their responses. Results: The Excellent level was highest with answers of gr3 (Treatment options) (72.1%) while gr 2 (the selection of material and cement) have lowest (22.5%). Lowest Poor answer (1.8%) was found with gr1 (General knowledge's) and highest Poor answer (9%) was found with gr2 (the selection of material and cement). Conclusions: An important need to include clinical training on the diagnosis and management of badly broken teeth undergraduate courses should be considered.
