Abstract
Open AccessOsteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent degenerative joint disease characterized by complex interactions between inflammation and metabolism. Recent years have seen a growing interest in targeted therapeutic strategies that address these interactions, aiming to alleviate the symptoms and progression of OA. This review provides a comprehensive overview of emerging treatment strategies in OA, focusing on the targeting of inflammatory mediators, metabolic regulators, and their combined applications. Additionally, we discuss the current challenges faced in the field, including the heterogeneity of OA and the need for personalized treatment approaches. By highlighting recent advancements and potential future directions, this article aims to contribute to the development of innovative therapies for OA, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life.
