Abstract
Open AccessUsing mass spectrometry-based proteomics, we identified virulence proteins from Agrobacterium tumefaciens with significantly increased abundance following exposure to chemical (acetosyringone) and biological (leaf extract from Nicotiana benthamiana) inducers. Leaf extracts could be a cost-effective alternative to acetosyringone for inducing pathogen virulence for the molecular pharming industry.
