Abstract
Open AccessSerratia marcescens is an opportunistic pathogen that causes a variety of hospital-acquired and community-acquired infections. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of S. marcescens strain MPHSM1 responsible for necrotizing fasciitis. The genome is 5,022,671 bp long, with a G+C content of 59.76%.
