Abstract
Open AccessHaematococcus lacustris is a ubiquitous unicellular green alga with industrial bioproduct applications, namely, as feedstock for natural astaxanthin. We report the annotated 291.5 Mbp genome for H. lacustris Liv1 to support future algal research in the areas of carotenoid biosynthesis and crop protection.
