Abstract
Open AccessBlasting shock wave poses significant threats to human Lives, making blast mitigation an important research subject. This study introduces a solid pyramid structure, Derived from a V-shaped Design, aimed at protecting personnel from shock waves. Various pyramid specimens with different heights and surface configurations were designed and fabricated using 3D printing. The explosion mitigation capabilities of these structures were assessed through shock tube testing. Results demonstrate that the solid pyramid structure effectively protects the human body under blast loading. The mitigation effect increases with pyramid height, and concave pyramids outperform convex and flat designs. Numerical simulations further explored the contributions of various factors to blast mitigation, elucidating the underlying mechanisms. These findings provide essential references for advancing personnel blast mitigation research and the development of related protective equipment.
