Tibial component baseplate fracture following robot assisted bicompartmental knee arthroplasty: A case report.

Case: We present the case of a 44-year-old man who underwent robot-assisted bicompartmental knee arthroplasty (BiKA). Post-operatively the patient continued to experience knee pain and recurrent effusions. Radiographs and CT scans revealed no obvious signs of hardware failure, and aspiration was negative for all markers of infection. He underwent revision surgery and was found to have a fracture of the tibial baseplate. Conclusions: This complication should be considered in patients with persistent knee pain following BiKA, especially in those without signs of infection or obvious hardware failure. Radiographic and CT images should be heavily scrutinized to evaluate for this complication.
