Abstract
Open AccessTracheobronchopathia osteochondroplastica (TO) is a rare benign disease of the lung that causes bony and/or cartilaginous nodules to grow in the trachea and main bronchi. It has an unknown cause and remains largely unknown due to its rarity. Here, we report a case of TO in a 63-year old woman at our hospital. Bronchoscopy revealed multiple cartilaginous and ossifying nodules that are characteristic of TO, and through histopathology of the biopsies, TO was confirmed. Given the rarity of TO, we aim to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of TO's diagnosis and treatment.
