Abstract
Open AccessWe describe a novel surgical strategy, targeted vessel ligation (TVL), that enhances haemostasis and minimizes urethral compression, thereby reducing postoperative complications and preserve urinary and sexual function. The TVL technique involves the precise, individual ligation and cauterization of penile vessels, performed under tourniquet control to create a clean surgical field. Unlike conventional suturing techniques, this approach avoids excessive pressure on the urethra and prevent blood loss. Applied in three patients undergoing partial penectomy, the technique resulted in reduced intraoperative blood loss, no postoperative hemorrhage, no urethral stenosis, and preserved urinary and erectile function over a 7-month follow-up period.
