Abstract
Open AccessPerforming arthroplasty on shoulders that have previously undergone a Latarjet procedure is challenging. The alterations in surgical landmarks, anatomic planes, and extensive scarring complicate the surgical dissection and obscure glenoid exposure. This article describes a stepwise approach to glenoid exposure and preparation for anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty in the context of a prior Latarjet procedure. We provide a visual demonstration of the altered tissue planes, as well as the close proximity of neurovascular structures relative to the transferred bone block, and further discuss the technical difficulties in removing the Latarjet screws.
