Abstract
Open AccessLINC00312 encodes an intronless transcript mainly functioning as a tumor suppressor. Expression of this transcript is downregulated in a variety of cancers, particularly lung cancers. It is regarded as a negative regulator of estrogen receptor signaling. Moreover, low expression of LINC00312 correlates with poor survival in sarcoma and stomach adenocarcinoma, suggesting its potential as a prognostic biomarker. In the current study, we performed a bioinformatics and literature based approach to find the importance of this long non-coding RNA in different cancers, its regulatory network and its interactions with different biomolecules and compounds. Taken together, LINC00312 represents a possible candidate for additional diagnostics and prognostics approaches.
