Abstract
Open AccessThis case highlights pyoderma gangrenosum, a rare but serious extraintestinal manifestation of ulcerative colitis, especially in patients presenting with atypical skin ulcers and a history of inflammatory bowel disease. The pathergy phenomenon and lesions were crucial diagnostic clues, and early recognition, along with prompt initiation of corticosteroids and immunosuppressive therapy, improved outcomes.
